I lost a day

I was in a real funk yesterday, a bit of a headache that WOULD not go away. So now we need to catch up.

We have cleaned our kitchen and should know what the menu for Thanksgiving is. Do you have the proper serving dishes. I can never have enough serving bowls of different sizes. Platters all kinds shapes and sizes. If the bowl is big becasue you have a lot of family to serve, it will be to heavy to pass. Better to have two small than one huge family size. Also make sure you have serving spoons.

What about the kids, How do you keep them busy? I know every Sunday when my grandkids come my office gets raided. So my goal is to make a box of craft things to keep them busy. Crayons, paper, Colorwonders (my very favorite) a stapler with staples, Tape, some stickers, color books and puzzle books. I may even try to find some of those fun foam things so they can make something. I know if I do this I will have a mess but its better than my whole house becomeing a mess because they were bored. Beads would be good.
Please tell me how you keep your family busy. I have 8 sweet kids who come every Sunday and some days they get along and other days, well you know.

Side note: Bonnie needs some help with side dishes for her Thanksgiving dinner, we all need to give her a hand.

My family still gets together with the whole big family (about 60ish) at a church on thanksgiving. We always have a "bonko" tournament with the adults and Christmas crafts for the kids. A few years ago, we put paint inside those clear balls for the tree. You put some paint in (whatever color), glitter, etc, and slowly roll the paint around and it makes some GORGEOUS balls. The kids had fun and we have fun things to hang on the tree the next day when it goes up! (tell each parent to bring a "paint shirt") :) familyfun.com is a favorite website for activites and ideas.
